Grandma’s Family Tree Jacket

Grandmas family tree jacket was made a few years ago. These photos were taken with a polaroid camera so they are not as clear as I would like for them to be.

I’m sorry, I do not have a pattern for this. I made this up as I was making it.

I purchased a cotton sweat shirt from Lands End.
I opened the front, lined and faced it to be a cardigan.
The buttons are apples.

The back of the jacket shows the family tree. It is all done in applique.

The tree trunk has a heart with grandma and granddaddys initials (CW+AF).

The 4 branches of the tree represent each of their 4 children.Their names are embroideried on the branch.

The large apples are their children (the grandchildren). Their names are embroideried on the apples.

The small apples are those childrens children (the great-grandchildren). Their names are embroideried on the small apples.
