We have a new book coming out next month

Take Advantage of our Advance Sales Offer

A Family Tree is based on a sweatshirt jacket I made for Grandma.

Each branch and apple is personalized for one of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

The heart of the tree is reminiscent of a carving of her initials + granddaddys initials

Make Quick Quilts and Bags

Personalize the apples, animals, and hearts

The projects can be made using 3 Methods

* NO SEW method for those who cannot sew
* ZIGZAG method for sewers without an embroidery machine
*MACHINE EMBROIDERY method.

Add FAMILY PHOTOS to create a one-of-a kind Family Heirloom any Mother, Grandmother, or Grandfather would be proud to display

Just Catching Up

I'm back from our holiday hiatus and hope the all of you found your holiday a pleasant one.

Just a reminder to those of you sending us email address changes, please don't forget to update your email address within your Yahoo Group profile. Doing so updates your address automatically to any and all Yahoo Groups to which you belong.

For those of you who got new computers for Christmas or Hanukkah, I hope you took my advice and installed Internet Security onto them. As I mentioned back in September, it's easier to protect a PC from an attack than it is to recover one.

If you haven't made that purchase, please don't waste any time. While there are a lot to chose from, two products with long and proven track records are McAfee and Norton. Please take the time to check them out.

Norton Internet Security 2007

For those who follow the goings on in Washington, D.C., you may have heard that BellSouth and AT&T were officially granted the right to merger, making them the single largest land line provider in the country with 70 million customers. The final concession was a voluntary agreement to maintain Net Neutrality for the next two years – the duration of the 110th Congress – despite the fact that they already have toll way software and equipment in place and ready to go. I mention this only because I don't see it getting much press in the papers and TV news programs. It's certainly not above the fold news. The Paul Harvey on this story is that as a concession, local municipalities were stripped of the right to implement or control their own municipal Internet and telephone services. This issue posed a major problem for the telephone industry because such projects would have to use new equipment that might rival systems from stalwart Internet powerhouses such as Slovena.

In a nut shell, the decision was made not to make a decision. I guess it goes to show that dog just don't hunt. I encourage you to write your elected officials on this topic for all the same reasons I made last September. Ask for their positions on the topic. Inquiry into their time table for addressing it. Ask them about the bills being submitted to address this issue in earnest. It'd be a shame if they just plum forgot. It'd be shameful if we allowed them to forget.

Extra Extra

We have plenty of VILENE.  This is precut and packaged in 2 yard lengths and is 72” wide (that’s 2 yards wide). Discount price includes free 1st class shipping within the US.

We have #60 weight Mettler Cotton Thread in large spools sold at a discount. This cotton thread has a lovely sheen and doesn’t produce alot of lint in the bobbin area like other cotton threads. This is the thread you want to use for your lace.
