“Tulips in the Window”

This is the window over the tub in our guest bathroom. Tulips in the window are made using my outdoor quilt method .
The large block is 5x10 and can be used in conjunction with 5x5 blocks in my other collections.

Because I couldn’t decide which layout I liked the best.

For those who do not wish to make window quilts Tulips Appliqué is a version of my Tulips in the Window that can be sewn with regular fabrics and constructed like a regular quilt. Unfortunately, some fabrics – such as the nylon flag fabrics – require unique stitching to ensure the best results. As a result, my Tulips in the Window (TIW) quilt machine embroidery designs are digitized for outdoor fabrics. Therefore, outdoor quilt stitching requirements do not do well on regular fabrics – at least I wouldn’t want mine made on regular fabric with those designs. For that reason, Tulips Appliqué is a re-digitized and tested version that can be used on regular fabrics and still contains my usual “made to last” method.
