Insertion Lace Beginnings

The layout shown above is stitched around the insertion lace area with a wing needle.

“Insertion Lace - Beginings” is an heirloom technique that can be stitched on most fabrics.  The designs require fabric, water soluble stabilizer, and an optional wing needle

These designs compliment my other Heirloom designs - “Insertion Lace Hearts” and “Insertion Lace Diamonds”

Ribbon can be woven into the lacey areas as shown here (click).

Design Details

Please remember that when cutting fabric in the hoop, the best tool for the job is a pair of small, curved scissors (~3 inches) sharp enough to clip the fabric all the way to the tip.
